Abstract

This paper aims to talk about the Autobiography of the renowned poet Ms. Kamala Das. Through this paper we will get to know about the life of Kamala Das who with her poems left a huge impact on people’s mindset. In the Indian history of female poets, she came out to be one of the most celebrated writers. Methodology and Approach: This research paper starts with an introduction of the autobiography written by Kamala Das, titled- ‘My Story’. Further it talks about her life and her views on social issues. Outcome: The paper will introduce us to the concept of feminism, discrimination and oppression Kamala Das faced in her life. It will give us an insight of her views regarding major social issues. Conclusion and Suggestions: Kamala Das is a huge inspiration for every woman. Brave, bold, courageous, beautiful, responsible, talented and don’t know how many words can be used to describe her. You can never escape her influence.
