Aim: This paper aims to look out the historical elements in the autobiography of American Chinese writer Adeline Yen Mah which she incorporated with the help of memories of her childhood. This autobiography Chinese Cinderella not only describes her challenging childhood as an unwanted daughter of the family but also provides bits of the problematic history of China.
