Aim: To gain deeper knowledge about the history of Dalits and double marginalization of Dalit women in the patriarchal Indian society with the help of Bama's Novel Sangati.
Methodology and Approaches: The goal of this paper is to examine the case for social change put forward by anti-caste movement in India of which the Dalit movement is arguably the shining example, it makes an effort to place the movement’s aspiration for a better future in relation to some of its own fundamental presumptions. The Dalit community considers women to be the most disadvantaged group, and they experience double oppression. The paper highlights the amount of suffering and labor that women must endure beginning in childhood and how they discover the strength to escape those restraints through the experience of the anonymous protagonist in Dalit feminist author Bama's book Sangati.
Outcome: This essay helped me to enhance my knowledge regarding the work done in an investigative and informative way as well as it increases s my sensitivity towards Dalits. Going through this paper really helped me polish off my skills in research-based works.
Conclusion: Bama envisioned optimistic path for the Dalit women, “Destiny is Character “if they stand for themselves their condition would be better in future. Bama being the Tamil Dalit women pen down the thoughts in a very graceful manner and her work shows the path to Dalit community.
