Aims: The paper aims to research on the teaching of FLE (français langue étrangère), specially the grammar. Nowadays, this association "teaching-learning of the grammar of FLE" persists in the center of the questions constituting problems in FLE class. Although it has caused a lot of ink to flow, this question is still posed while exposing all the possible forms of a structure interrogative: what is teaching and/or learning the grammar of FLE? Who to teach and/or learn FLE grammar? What to teach and/or learn French grammar? Why teach and/or learn French grammar of FLE? How to teach and/or learn the grammar of FL?
Methodology and Approaches: This paper explains the tenets of the communicative approach and compares it with some other approaches. The benefits to be derived through this method in French teaching in educational bodies are presented. Finally, some recommendations are given among which are that the serving teachers should be trained in the approach and teacher training institutions should include that approach in their methodology courses.
Outcome: Nowadays, the practice of the traditional method is recommended or even its explicit aspect accessing the understanding of the functioning of the language. Therefore, it is neither a question of discussing the indelible impact of this method on the evolution of teaching methods - learning of grammar nor to diminish its value; it has also been used for so long to build textbooks and French lessons.
Conclusion: Through this research, we have advanced a descriptive study and analytical focus on teaching–explicit learning of grammar French in a communicative approach: we tried to confirm this proposal which would like to constitute a solution to our problem whose problem consists in the teaching-learning of grammar explicit to advanced learners following a traditional method.
